Nine Covens: On The Dawning Of Light – new album & As Fire Consumes – new video

Tipped off by sudden interest shown from this blog's most respected visitors in the mysterious entity called NINE COVENS, it turns out the explorers' of the darker, more brooding aspects of black metal second coming, ‘On The Dawning Of Light’, already occurred – in Europe, at least. (Btw, Candlelight's UK branch should seriously rethink its marketing strategy.) So, out since November 12th, 2012 in Europe and set for January 8th, 2013 release in North America on Candlelight Records, ‘On The Dawning Of Light’ awaits you here (Plastic Head store) and here (Candlelight U.S. store). NINE COVENS, in cooperation with director Tom J Cronin, also released a video for ‘As Fire Consumes’, available for your viewing pleasure below.

Featuring current and ex-members of some of the key extreme bands from the last decade, we are told, NINE COVENS divulged their first “virulent, belligerent and passionate account of the weakness that exists in humanity” through debut album ‘On The Coming Of Darkness’, issued in 2011 through Candlelight Records and Mordgrimm Records. Not much else is known about the band except that their “confrontation with the eternally weak and all who follow without question to reflect on themselves and consider an alternative” is being communicated out of London, UK.
