This sonic assault belongs to Australia's extreme metallers THE RED SHORE; ‘The Seed Of Annihilation’ comes off band's third album entitled ‘The Avarice Of Man’, released through Roadrunner Records (Australia), Listenable Records (Europe) and Rise Records (USA) in September 2010. The album was tracked by the band's guitarist and producer Roman Koester at the Complex Studios in Melbourne, Australia and mixed by TEXTURES' Jochem Jacobs at Splitsecond Studios in The Netherlands. ‘The Avarice Of Man’ was described as “a concept piece, masterwork, a thought provoking, stunning piece of extreme metal that is heavy, intelligent, emotive and very very dark.”
THE RED SHORE formed in 2004 in Melbourne, Victoria, and, inspired by the likes of HATE ETERNAL, DEVOURMENT, DECAPITATED and BEHEMOTH, released a demo that got them signed to Big Phat Adelaide Records and Modern Music. After recording their debut EP, 2006's ‘Salvaging What’s Left’, producer and engineer Roman Koester joined the band as a second guitarist. The group was involved in a tragic traffic accident in 2007 when on tour supporting American band ALL SHALL PERISH, that claimed the lives of singer Damien Morris and driver and merchandiser Andy Milner. Jamie Hope exchanged four-strings for vocal duties and Jon Green was enlisted as a bassist for THE RED SHORE's debut full-length, 2008's ‘Unconsecrated’ (Siege Of Amida Records). ‘Lost Verses’, a compilation of band's earlier material and the last release to feature founding member Jamie Hope, followed a year later via Stomp Entertainment and reached position number 91 on the ARIA Charts (Australian music sales charts).
THE RED SHORE features: Chase Butler – vocals, Roman Koester – guitar, Jason Leombrunni – guitar, Jon Green - bass and Tim Shearman – drums.
