Avid golfer and he who inspired us to adorn our necks with a boa constrictor, ALICE COOPER, will be apparently releasing a follow-up to his most memorable solo album 1975's ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’ entitled ‘Welcome 2 My Nightmare’, come September 13th, 2011 via Universal Music Enterprises. The album was recorded with longtime collaborator Bob Ezrin, who produced the original multi-platinum ‘Welcome To My Nightmare’:
“Bob’s still a tyrant in the studio,” [explained Cooper to Rolling Stone] He does it to get the best out of you. He’s also the only person on the planet who knows Alice as well as I do. We’re very conscious of who Alice is and what his attitudes are. It’s fun to write for another character… If you’re a real Alice aficionado it’ll send a chill up your spine because it happens at the right spots.” [Read more here]
“Another nightmare, this one even worse than the last one” features original ALICE COOPER members bassist Denis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith, Desmond Child and Dick Wagner who co-wrote some of the songs on the album along with film-composer Jeremy Rubolino, and guest appearances by guitarist Tommy Denander, bassist Chuck Garric and pop singer Ke$ha.
