Update: Listen to the new STAIND album here – courtesy Roadrunner Records.
‘Not Again’ comes off the multi-platinum Massachusetts hard rock outfit's, STAIND, forthcoming seventh self-titled album, to be released on September 13th, 2011 via Roadrunner Records and Atlantic Records. The video was excitedly premiered by Noisecreep whose staff has learned from the band's songwriter and vocalist Aaron Lewis:
“Making this album was hard. I guess you can say ‘Not Again’ is a direct reflection of the events that transpired during the recording process. The video was done by Paul Brown, we shot individually on green screen, we went in ran through the song a few times each and were done. I don’t know why we’ve wasted our time making videos any other way all these years.”
‘Staind’, the album, is also the last album to feature original drummer Jon Wysocki since he departed from the band following the recording which was done with the producer Johnny K. Click here to listen to another new STAIND track, ‘Paper Wings’, over at Guitar World.
During the sixteen years of writing, recording, and touring together, STAIND sold 15 million albums worldwide, had eight top ten singles across multiple formats with three songs hitting number one, and wrote the most-played rock song of the past decade, ‘It’s Been Awhile’. Three out of their six albums, ‘Break The Cycle’, ‘14 Shades Of Grey’ and ‘Chapter V’, debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and 2008's ‘The Illusion Of Progress’ peaked at position number 3.
