Azarath: Blasphemers' Maledictions – new album

“Inferno's” (also known as Zbigniew Robert Promiński, also known as one of the fastest and most technically proficient drummers in today's death metal circles) other band, AZARATH, is about to release its fifth album entitled ‘Blasphemers' Maledictions’ via Witching Hour Productions. Albums' international release date is set for June 29th, 2011; ‘Blasphemers' Maledictions’ comes available as exclusive digibook and limited 12” LP. Recording of the album took place in Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland with Wiesławscy Bros who were responsible for production, mixing and mastering of the record. Album's artwork was created by Zbigniew M. Bielak. Listen to the new track, ‘Behold The Satan's Sword’, here (MySpace) or here (Facebook).

AZARATH was founded in 1998 in Tczew, Poland by “Inferno” (BEHEMOTH), “Bruno” (DAMNATION) and “D.”. After self-releasing a couple of demos, ‘Traitors’ and ‘Promo 2000’, and after adding “Bart” (DAMNATION) to the line-up, this brutal, old-school death metal band released their “aggressive, dirty and sinister” debut album ‘Demon Seed’ in 2001 through Pagan Records. Second full-length, ‘Infernal Blasting’, followed in 2003: “This album got even more fuckin’ great reviews,” assures official bio. After its release, guitarist “D.” (Andrzej Zdrojewski) left and was replaced by “Trufel”. ‘Death Monsters’, a split with fellow-countrymen STILLBORN, followed in 2004 on Time Before Time Records. ‘Diabolic Impious Evil’ came next in 2006, AZARATH's last for Pagan Records. A new deal was signed with Agonia Records and Deathgasm Records for the release of the band's 2009's ‘Praise The Beast’. Longtime vocalist and bassist “Bruno” (Bartłomiej Waruszewski) left the group after the promotional tour that ensued and “Necrosodom” (ANIMA DAMNATA) was enlisted as his replacement. AZARATH signed with their current label in 2010, through which they have already released an EP entitled ‘Holy Possession’ earlier this year. In January 2011,  guitarist's “Trufel” (Mariusz Domaradzki) departure caused vocalist “Necrosodom” to exchange four-strings for guitar and the enlisting of new bassist, known to his bros as “P.”.

AZARATH features: Marek “Necrosodom” Lechowski – vocals & guitar, Bartłomiej “Bart” Szudek – guitar, Piotr “P.” Ostrowski - bass and Zbigniew “Inferno” Promiński – drums
