Byfrost: Of Death – new album

Byfrost_OfDeath

Norway's blackened thrash & black 'n' roll trio BYFROST has just released its second album entitled ‘Of Death’ via AFM Records. The album was recorded in the Conclave and Earshot Studios in the band's home town of Bergen, and was produced by ENSLAVED's Herbrand Larsen and VULTURE INDUSTRIES' Bjornar Nilsen. Below you’ll find two new BYFROST songs, ‘Of Death’ and ‘Buried Alive’, as well as three tracks off the band's debut full-length entitled ‘Black Earth’; ‘Horns To The Sky, ‘Black Earth’ and ‘Desire’ - featuring Arve Isdal of ENSLAVED fame. ‘Of Death’ comes as a CD and as a very limited edition vinyl (of 666 copies only).

Formed in 2007 in Bergen, Norway, BYFROST is a trio comprised of HeavyHarms on guitars and vocals, R.I.P Meister on five-string bass and HELLISH OUTCAST's Alkolust on drums. The band released an EP entitled ‘Byfrostmetal’ in 2008 and in 2009 BYFROST began working on their first full-length album, ‘Black Earth’, which featured ENSLAVED's Arve Isdal and Herbrand Larsen, who, along with Bjørnar E. Nilsen, produced the album as well. ‘Black Earth’, which came equipped with the artwork by Christian Sloan Hall, was released on Painkiller Records in 2010 to much critical acclaim. BYFROST signed a deal with AFM Records earlier this year.
