Full Album Stream: Memfis: Vertigo – new album

Memfis_Vertigo

Self-financed, recorded in 2008 in Bohus Sound Studios with producer and engineer Fredrik Reinedahl and mastered by Dragan Tanaskovic - and following a long legal battle with their former label - we can finally listen to and, of course, buy MEMFIS' second full-length ‘Vertigo’. Available via iTunes, Amazon MP3, Spotify etc, take a listen here (MEMFIS official) – also available via player you’ll find below - where you can also download the album for the generous price of your choosing. The music was written by Mattias Engström (but the tune ‘Versus’ which was co-written by Henrik Hedelund) and the lyrics on ‘Vertigo’ were written by Daniel Götstedt (except ‘The Burden’ which was co-written by Engström and Götstedt). The album also features guest appearance by Linus Jägerskog (BURST) and artwork by Claes Josefsson.

With their influences spanning from '70's prog rock, through the alternative rock of the '90's, to contemporary metal as represented by MASTODON, OPETH, BURST, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN and KING KRIMSON, MEMFIS formed in 2003 in Kristinehamn, Sweden. The group recorded two well-received demos in 2004 and signed with Dental Records for the release of their debut full-length 2006's ‘The Wind-Up’. The record entered the Swedish Albums Chart at number 20, and was praised by many metal publications such as Kerrang! and Metal Hammer:
