Charred Walls Of The Damned: Zerospan – new video

The new CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED video, ‘Zerospan’, was directed and edited by Mike Schiff and Sean McEwen with special effects and make up done by Brian Spears and Pete Gerner from G and S Effects and features Bryan Haeffele:

“I’m so excited that fans will finally be able to see the ‘Zerospan’ video after many months of hard work! For fans of horror like myself, this video is the perfect mix of technological horror and all out brutality. The ‘Zerospan’ video is like a mini horror film and the story follows the lyrical subject matter perfectly and creates a haunting vision of a man absorbed by the world's ever growing technology. What it comes down to, though, is that it’s pretty much just a kick ass heavy metal video! Big thanks to Mike, Sean, Brian, Pete, Bryan, Metal Blade, and everyone who helped make this video awesome!” [Explained the group's founder Richard Christy excitingly.]

‘Zerospan’ comes off all-star metal outfit's, CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED, second album ‘Cold Winds On Timeless Days’, released in October 2011 on Metal Blade Records. ‘Cold Winds On Timeless Days’ – which can be bought here, through Metal Blade - was written and demoed by Richard Christy (starring on drums), with additional music written by Jason Suecof (starring on guitar) who produced the album as well. The album clocks in at 58 minutes across 12 tracks. Richard Christy recorded drum tracks at the Hit Factory Criteria, New York, while recording of the rest of the album took place at Orlando, Florida's Audiohammer studios. Lyrically, the album consists of songs about Richard Christy's every day observations while living and working in New York City. Read in amazement:

“ ‘The Beast Outside My Window’,” [commented Christy] “[is] loosely inspired by the Queensboro (59th St. bridge), I can see it outside my window. Anything you see outside your window every day, no matter where you live, becomes a part of your life, and as funny as it sounds, having a window is something new to me that is particularly inspiring because I lived in a storage unit with no windows for eight years in Florida!”

CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED is the brainchild of former ICED EARTH drummer Richard Christy who in 2009 assembled a dream-team made up of vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, bassist Steve DiGiorgio and producer (and longtime friend) Jason Suecof to play guitar. The assembly then proceeded to recorded the project's self-titled debut, which it released via Metal Blade Records in 2010:

“This is a 2010 release, but it might as well have been recorded in the '80s because CHARRED WALLS OF THE DAMNED are a 21st century band with a consistently '80s-minded sound; their hard-driving but nuanced approach is a combination of ICED EARTH, JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN. … This 35-minute CD doesn’t pretend to take metal in any new directions, but it pleases - and there is no doubt that Owens gives 100 percent, which isn’t surprising when one takes his history into consideration,” [commented Alex Henderson, AllMusic, in his review of the album]:
